Our parent's both , R.I.H. were, Mary Francis Cater-Hardin a Retired  Degreed Educator of young children in the Columbus, Ohio Public School System and Ollie Lee Hardin Sr. who was an Air Force trained Engineer from Mobile Alabama, that Retired from the Air Force out of Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus Ohio, where they met at an SDA Church Service, one Sabbath Morning, while He was on a Weekend Pass, and then from that point, they were married shortly thereafter in 1948. 

 Our Father, Mr. Ollie ( also known as Brother Hardin ) was known mostly for his community work, through the Central SDA Church, located directly off the East Broad Street, Downtown Columbus Freeway Exchange.

As one of the church head deacons, he was greatly responsible for not only helping to keep the church functioning and growing, but he was also one of the Certified Mason's, that put in their volunteered, Time, Knowledge and Best Effort to insure the Quality of the Finished Sanctuary, that is still growing and providing greatly needed services throughout the community, some Four decades now. 

 Our Mother, Mary Francis Carter, ( Known to many as Miss Mary or Momma Hardin ) was one of the world's truly Naturally Born Nurturers. 

During there Lives they parented six children. Rachael, Sharon, Ollie Jr., Marsha, Mark K and the baby Lisa K., whom they raised, in a government housing project located on the Southside of Columbus Ohio, Still Known to this day as "Lincoln Park Project Columbus Ohio", where she began her career as a Teacher's Aid, at the Lincoln Park Elementary School, that her children all eventually attended, at one time or another during her many year's of service at the school.

She bravely went on, working her way too become Library Director of the Public School District, by vigilante study and hard work, also Received Her Graduates Degree in Library Science, from the Ohio State Dominican University, that was Located just up the Road from Her Home in Columbus, Ohio, where she eventually retired after over 30 Year's, of giving guidance and love to countless children in the community.
